One North Carolina YouTube superstar is branching out into the restaurant world. Coming out of Greenville, North Carolina, YouTube star MrBeast, is opening his brick-and-mortar restaurant in New Jersey.
Fox 8 reports that MrBeast, Jimmy Donaldson, is a popular YouTube star with over 100 million followers. He started his channel in 2012 and his career took off once he gained a good following. He made a career out of giving away large amounts of cash to his followers. Those videos turned his small channel into a big-time career. After the pandemic rushed the food industry, that is when he launched his delivery-only fast food chain MrBeast Burger. The restaurant went without a permanent location, until now. MrBeast is now partnering with Virtual Dining Concepts to launch MrBeast Burger.
On Sunday, September 4, Donaldson opened the doors to his first physical location at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey. Donaldson tweeted while his restaurant quickly gained a big crowd during its opening. There were over 10,000 people in line for the grand opening of MrBeast Burger. If you are ever in the New Jersey mall then you may need to up this new burger spot and give it a try.
