Man shot during robbery outside popular Charlotte restaurant, police say – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE — An attempted robbery Saturday night ended with one person shot outside a popular restaurant in the Dilworth neighborhood, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. to the scene along East Morehead Street, outside the Dilworth Neighborhood Grille.

When they got there, police said they found a man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital but was expected to survive.

According to CMPD, the shooting happened during an attempted robbery on the street outside the restaurant.

No other details have been released and it’s unclear if any arrests have been made.
