CHARLOTTE — North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper is heading to Ballantyne Thursday to help open a finance company’s new headquarters.
Credit Karma plans to hire more than 600 workers in Charlotte in the coming years for its new east coast headquarters. The company also plans to invest more than $13 million in the city.

The ribbon-cutting that Gov. Cooper will attend is planned for 4 p.m. on Ballantyne Corporate Place, north of Ballantyne Commons Parkway.
Credit Karma said it currently employs more than 450 people across its Charlotte offices and the new space has seating for 800 people.
